Que faire a Goa, durant les journées de pluies incessantes ?

we started the day early (atleast by goan standards). we had to cover great distances in one day, and had to get cracking, immediately. water bottle filled to the brim, camera battery charged, petrol filled in the car we headed out from bogmallo towards the south of goa by 10am. we were traveling right across the state!

one must say that the roads in goa are brilliant. they are beautiful – winding in and out, going up and then dipping down, large green trees flank the roads, monsoon weeds and creepers run amok along the side of the road and there are spacious stretches, followed by tight one-lane roads right through the town with bungalows on both sides… and monsoon makes all of this just sing with that greener green of the plants and the blacker black of the roads. added to that, the roads are not ‘pot-troughed’ bombay ones…

Open 24h/24, 7 days / 7, even during the monsoon ! Do not trust the place that is very simple, even austere … The food is excellent and inexpensive.
We tested a breakfast, fried eggs were perfect, crispy bacon, proper Nescafe …

Le bar-restaurant est situé à Calangute en direction de Candolim, juste avant la chapelle Saint-Anthony.
Ouvert 24h/24, 7 jours/7, même pendant la mousson ! Ne vous fiez pas au lieu qui est simplissime, voire même austère… La nourriture est excellente et peu chère.
Nous avons testé un petit déjeuner, les oeufs au plat étaient parfaits, le bacon croustillant, le Nescafé correct…

Voici un endroit que nous adorons car il correspond exactement au Goa que nous désirons vous faire découvrir à travers ce blog.

Nichées dans une propriété de 22 acres, surplombant la vallée où s’écoule avec nonchalance un bras du fleuve Mandovi, les trois maisons qui composent cette boutique hôtel, invitent à la relaxation et à la méditation. Le panorama qui s’offre à vous coupe le souffle : des rizières à perte de vue, des cocotiers, des bananiers, le fleuve…

Une retraite parfaite pour qui veut se déconnecter, le temps des vacances, du reste du monde. On est à une demi heure de la plage la plus proche, mais les hôtes ne s’en plaignent pas, bien au contraire. C’est le lieu idéal pour venir faire le point, déstresser, faire un traitement ayurvédique… Tout ici invite à la détente… De nombreux écrivains y viennent rechercher l’ínspiration et le calme.

Mais ne rentre pas qui veut dans ce havre de sérénité ! En effet, on ne peut réserver que sur recommandation, soit une chambre, soit une maison, voire la propriété toute entière pour un mariage, par exemple. C’est pourquoi, à la demande expresse des propriétaires, nous ne vous donnerons ni le nom du lieu, ni sa localisation.
